However, since she is a writer only in the conceptual sense, I have undertaken to fill these pages on her behalf.
If not by her, these pages will certainly be about her, and other important matters of the day

The best selling, but as yet unread gift I received from Mrs Monk, The Cloudspotter’s Guide, by Gavin Pretor-Pinney, has been followed up by a new book by the same author. 

His new book was promoted on the BBC Breakfast news and gently mocked on “Have I Got News For You”

We were encouraged to go forth and gaze at the clouds, and we did so that very evening encouraged by two or four glasses of wine we took a short walk and took these pictures, stopping passers-by, encouraging them to join us. We were in turn humoured by the passing strangers who assumed that we were either drunk or mad.

The adjoining movie eventually materialised. Franz Liszt and Nick Cave have been allowed to coalesce as randomly as a portentous cloud formation.
