Blowing the Whistle
16 April 2009
Today a nurse was struck off for “whistle blowing” Officially she was struck off for neglecting her patients but as far as we know, no patients have complained about her neglect. In fact she helped the BBC expose neglect of patients, not by her, but by the Royal Sussex Hospital in Brighton and The National Health Trust.has acknowledged, and have apologised, following the BBC Panorama programme’s revelations, but only the nurse has lost her job, and in fact her career since she has now been struck off.
This very same day a Tory MP Damian Green, and his mole in the Home Office, which is responsible for counter terrorism and immigration, has been cleared of the charges of would-be whistle blowing, and excused by his boss, David Cameron who says he was acting in the public interest. No harm was done because no juicy gossip was disclosed and no damage was achieved. This was rubbish whistle blowing and no old people were saved. In fact these were political right wing leaks meant to damage the government and Damien Green did not expect to get caught red-handed by the Metropolitan Police, and he has kept his job.
The very same day, Gordon Brown was seen apologising for some revealing salacious e-mail by Damian McBride, which were not meant for public consumption, but were nevertheless leaked by another profit seeking whistle blower who had no desire to protect old people abandoned in NHS hospitals, and has kept his or her job and made a tidy stinking pay packet, in the name of blowing the sacred whistle.
Spot the hypocrite.
